Book Of John

 I've just started reading the bible again, & my challenge is to read atleast 2-3 chapters before & after going to bed. So far i've listed down what i've learned & understand.

John 1-2

-The word was with God & the word is God himself.

-John was born as a witness to testify that God is the light & hope of all mankind.

-Jesus performs miracle, nothing is impossible for him, if he can change water into wine he can also change every person's life.

John 3

-God gave the best he had, His beloved son, to pay the price for the sin of all who believe in Him.

-Once we are given new life in Christ, we are also given a new destiny.

-Eternal life is a gift from God, because he loves his people, God made a way to save them from eternal death.

- No one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water & spirit.

John 4

-This chapter talks about thirstiness. The samaritan woman reflects the culture we live today. Where everyone are dissatisfied on what they have. Longing for more.. more & more, some are thirsty for power, position, love, pleasure, happiness, fulfillment, contentment, but they don't know that there is only one who can fill and satisfy your heart, mind, body, and soul and that is Jesus Christ.

John 5

-Jesus is the cure, there is only 1 healing power of Jesus Christ not in water, meditation or any other activity.

John 6

-Jesus will provide our real food, and the real drink which is his blood so that we can live forever.

John 7-8

-Jesus reveals as our source of salvation, light& life, truth & freedom

John 9

-Just believe in the Son of Man to heal our Spiritual Blindness, for the judgment will come into this world, so that the blind will see & those who see will become blind.

John 10

-Jesus is the great shepherd(a leader/master) & we are his sheep(pupil/disciples) that will only listen to him.

John 11-12

-The death of Lazarus , Jesus loves him, Jesus loves his disciples.

-Jesus is the resurrection of life.

-Jesus is the King.

John 13-14

-Judas & Peter Betrayal / Denial

-Jesus promises the Holy Spirit

John 15

-We should remain in Jesus, apart from Him we can do nothing.Love each other just like Jesus love.

-The world will hate you & persecute you being a disciple of God.

John 16

-The Holy Spirit will work to guide you to the truth.

-The grief will turn to joy once jesus came back.

John 17

-Jesus prays for his disciples, all believers against the evil one so that all of them may be one as Jesus & the Father.

John 18

-Jesus was arrested for the fulfillment of the scripture

John 19

-Jesus was sentenced to be crucified & Jesus died on the cross.

John 20

-Jesus resurrection & defeated death. Mission possible.
